Rick Hanson, PhD, is a psychologist, senior fellow at the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley, and best-selling author of New York Times. His books are available in 26 languages. He edits the Wise Brain Bulletin and is the author of numerous audio programs. Graduated summa cum laude of UCLA and founder of the Wellspring Institute for Neuroscience and Contemplative Wisdom, he has been a guest lecturer at NASA, Oxford, Stanford, Harvard and other major universities, and has taught at meditation centers around the world.
Hanson has served as a trustee of Saybrook University and on the board of the Spirit Rock Meditation Center. His work has been featured on the BBC, CBS and NPR, and he offers the free newsletter Just One Thing with 135 subscribers, plus the Foundations of Well-Being online program in positive neuroplasticity that anyone with limited resources can do for free.
